We seek wisdom in the mind, but it is not there.
This story is about how we create a mess in our heads. A story illustrating how dirty feelings - anger, greed, envy, arrogance, and the like - bring dirty thoughts into consciousness. And what is this door through which nefarious feelings manage to pollute the mind? This is pride and arrogance, a sense of one's own greatness and superiority. Symbolically, these states are reflected in the picture as the crown, through which the "garbage" is accumulated in the head of our hero. And from this garbage, swords (wars, battles) rise in the mind and grow in consciousness.
But the hero of the picture, our metaphorical prince, is not looking for this. He seeks wisdom, he feels that he is going the wrong way, he looks to the past to see where the error occurred. But he doesn't need to look around him - he needs to look inside his heart. Is it pure enough to hear God? Indeed, the wisdom of man is the ability to hear and agree with God softly whispering in one's ear, to hear and bow in humility in the face of his greatness and love, and to accept power as service, not as elevation of one above the others.
This story is a reminder that power without a pure heart affirms pride and tyranny. And a prayer for soul hygiene.
