Sleeping Yoga: Sankalpa

"Unlike a goal, which is a personal need to accomplish something, the concept of Sankalpa turns inward to connect with the heart's highest intention. A goal can be thought of as an individual's will, while the Sankalpa is the universal will. A Sankalpa is a positive declaration or affirmation, such as “peace is my true nature,” rather than the egodriven “I want peace in my life.”

In this piece, I delved into the metaphysical, using minimal lines and surreal forms to evoke profound symbolism. The understated strokes of pen and judicious use of pigments create an ethereal dance between reality and fantasy. It's a visual poem, meant to stir the soul, encourage introspection, and nourish the imagination. Inviting this artwork into your space is inviting a touch of enigma, a whisper of dreams, and a nudge towards the boundless.

"SLEEPING YOGA" series: This artwork series brings to life the subtle and profound journey of Yoga Nidra—the "yoga of sleep" where consciousness meets the depths of the unconscious. Each piece reflects the sacred steps and energetic layers and components of the practice, capturing moments where stillness unveils the hidden, where the self dissolves into pure awareness. These visuals are a map to the inner landscapes traversed in Yoga Nidra, guiding the viewer through stages of release, expansion, and inner alignment.

These artworks are more than illustrations; they form the visual tapestry for Yoga Nidra: A Journey Within, a 28-day guidebook that combines these transformative visuals with practical techniques, coloring pages, and guided journaling, creating an immersive experience to deepen one’s practice and understanding of this journey inward. Each image resonates with the book’s intention: to create a space where words and visuals merge, opening pathways to profound peace and self-discovery.
